Let Me Reintroduce myself (2025)

I'm back! After taking a few weeks off for Christmas from posting I am back and ready to write more recipes and other posts for you to read (but mostly recipes). As I sat down to write this I couldn't think of anything to write about. I just knew that I hadn't posted in so long and I needed to write something, anything! As I was scrolling through past posts to find something I forgot to write about, I realized that the last time I wrote about myself was back in the summer of 2023. My first post was an introduction to all my future readers, taking about my interests, who I was, and what the blog would be about.
As I read my first post I couldn't help but laugh to myself just a little bit about how much has changed since then! I still love my "old lady" hobbies, record player, and "grandma" chair (if ya know ya know) so don't worry, I am still the same person. However, I have grown so much into the person I am now and look back on little 2023 me with amazement.
Since I wrote my first blog post, I went to my first concert, made several amazing trips to the North Shore, watched my little sister and my sister-in-law graduate high school and start college, joined the worship team and youth group leadership at my church, went to Florida and Disney World (a dream of mine since I was a kid), saw my husband graduate college, moved, had a baby, had my 1 year wedding anniversary a week later, became a stay at home mom, started a home bakery, and more! It is so crazy to think how much my life has changed but I am so blessed for it all!
Not only has my life changed but so has this blog! I originally started writing this because I needed something to do in my free time and a reason to keep me writing. At first I had very little vision on what I wanted to write about. I had so many ideas and almost no direction but I was very excited to see where it would go. I rarely shared with people that I knew that I had a blog, I didn't even activate my "follow" button, because I was nervous that people would think my posts were dumb.
Today, I am proud to tell people that I write a food blog! Every post features a recipe that I wrote, directions on how to follow the recipe, and why I wrote it. Several posts also feature stories of nostalgia or adventures in developing a recipe. I went from wanting nobody to read my work, to having big goals for my blog! I wouldn't have the confidence to do this if it weren't for my amazing friends, family, and readers who continue to read, comment, and follow.
I am so blessed by everything that has happened this past year and the support I received from friends and family not only for this blog but for my growing family. I hope this blog blesses you too with my silly adventures and tasty recipes.
    Thank you for reading,
                Love,
                        Jo
