Peppermint Drink Syrup

Peppermint is one of those things you love or hate. I swing back and forth on whether it is festive or just tastes like toothpaste, however my husband LOVES a good peppermint mocha. So, of course, I had to make peppermint coffee syrup so he can enjoy one of his favorite holiday drinks at home!

The nice thing about this recipe is that it is super easy to make! All you have to do is mix together all of the ingredients in a small saucepan and simmer it until the sugar is dissolved and the syrup is slightly thick. That's it! The process for making a hot or iced peppermint mocha are a little different. For a hot one I mix one tablespoon of peppermint syrup and one tablespoon of my chocolate syrup with my espresso before swirling and pouring my milk on top. For an iced latte I mix my espresso, cold milk, and syrups all together at the same time and then add my ice afterwards so that the hot espresso doesn't melt the ice right away.
